PCR-DX Polymerase Chain Reaction Testing

What We Do

Our molecular testing technologies reduce wait time without compromising patient results. Currently, pathogen culture methodologies can take days or weeks to receive results. At PCR-Dx, our labs are able to turn tests around very quickly. When you use PCR-Dx, your patients can rest easy knowing that their doctors are partnered with one of the most efficient and effective labs in the nation.

Why Use PCR-Dx?

Our facilities at PCR-Dx feature the latest cutting-edge testing equipment all under one roof.

At PCR-Dx, our mission is to provide our clients, medical professionals (physicians and practitioners), and their patients, with cutting-edge, all-inclusive PCR diagnostic services. Our goal is to enable medical professionals to accurately identify conditions in their patients through the provision of our molecular diagnostic services. Our team believes that “accurate testing means accurate results”. This fact is the reason that PCR-Dx invests heavily in the research, development, and facilitation of new molecular techniques. What Is PCR?

Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) is a breakthrough molecular diagnotic testing technique that identifies a targeted genetic sequence (cancer genes, bacteria, fungi, and viruses)present in any given sample.

Technique
This technique amplifies (makes more copies of) the targeted genetic material in the sample through a complex series of heating and cooling cycles. If any amplification is detected in the sample, it is a positive identification of the pathogen in question. If no amplification is detected, then it means that the target sequence is not present in the sample; yielding a negative result.

Covid-19
Due to the rise of Covid-19, PCR has experienced exponential growth among medical professionals as foot traffic has tripled for many practitioners. PCR is currently the most sensitive testing methodology compared to other techniques such as antigen and antibody rapid testing. The diagnostic value of PCR is significant for the detection of current Covid-19 infections.
